The main person in charge of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission said at the meeting that border areas have continuously built a modern industrial system of diversified, complementary and coordinated development by cultivating characteristic industries, activating emerging industries, and upgrading traditional industries, so as to drive employment and income of people in border areas, and accelerate the development of border tourism, cross-border tourism, ice and snow tourism, etc.
In the next step, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission will focus on promoting the development of the border, deepen the "Private Enterprises Entering the Frontier" action and the national handicraft brand cultivation and improvement action, organize and carry out the "Border Specialty Sales National" activity, help characteristic and advantageous industries to embed into the construction of a unified national market, and effectively promote high-quality development in border areas.
