From the consumption channels, rural areas have become a new source of growth for online consumption. With the continuous acceleration of digital rural construction, e-commerce platforms rely on county-level centralized collection and distribution centers to shorten the delivery time to within 24 hours, and the volume of instant retail orders in rural areas has increased significantly. Early in the morning, at this e-commerce pick-up point in Yonghe Village, Liuyang, Hunan, the reporter saw that among the more than 100 products delivered today, more than one-third of the fresh fruit and vegetables products were delivered.

From the perspective of consumer products, driven by policies such as the increase in consumer products' trade-in and expansion, new energy vehicles are accelerating their entry into rural areas. In addition, the demand for high-quality home appliances in rural areas continues to be released, and large-size TVs, washing and drying machines and small home appliances in smart home appliances have become popular products for rural residents.

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that in the first quarter, the retail sales of rural consumer goods reached 1,661.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%, and the growth rate accelerated by 0.3 percentage points compared with January-February.
