More than 9.86 million passengers entered Macau in the first quarter

Macau, April 23 (Reporter Fu Zimei) Data from the Macau Special Administrative Region Statistics and Census Bureau showed that in the first quarter of this year, a total of 9862,665 passengers entered Macau, an increase of 11.1% year-on-year, and the average stay of passengers was 1.1 days. Among them, a total of 3068,920 inbound passengers in March, an increase of 12.8% year-on-year.

By customer source analysis, the number of mainland Chinese tourists in the first quarter was 7206,035, an increase of 14.5% year-on-year. Among them, there were 4011,208 individual tourists, an increase of 15.6%. Passengers entering the country through "one trip per week", "one sign and multiple trips" and "group entry and exit" were 381,172, 97,957 and 28,671 respectively. Zhuhai's passengers increased by 50.3% year-on-year. The number of tourists in the nine cities in the Pearl River Delta of the Greater Bay Area was 358,2016, an increase of 18.8%. There were 221,146 passengers in Taiwan, an increase of 21.6% over the same period last year; the number of passengers in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was 1753,042, a decrease of 3.6%.

In the first quarter, there were 682,442 international passengers, an increase of 16.9% year-on-year. In terms of Southeast Asian market, there were 126,559 Filipino passengers, 53,643 Filipino passengers, 47,094 Filipino passengers, and 26,356 Filipino passengers, an increase of 10.4%, 36.5%, 18.2% and 2.8% year-on-year respectively. There were 35,073 tourists in Thailand, a decrease of 9.2%. There were 19,135 Indian passengers from South Asia, a year-on-year decrease of 3.4%. South Korean tourists in Northeast Asia were 172,255 and 44,663 in Japan, up 33% and 23.6% respectively. Among the long-distance passengers, there were 36,629 American passengers, an increase of 9.7% year-on-year.

According to entry channels, 8100,541 people were circulating by land in the first quarter, accounting for 82.1%, an increase of 15.4% year-on-year. Among them, the number of passengers entering the country through Guanzha Port and Hengqin Port both increased by more than 20% year-on-year. There were 743,014 people passing through the air road, accounting for 7.5%, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year. Jinghai Road had 1019,110 people, accounting for 10.3%, a year-on-year decrease of 8.9%.
