According to statistics from the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the Consumer Expo, 65 Fortune 500 and leading companies have set a record high in the number of exhibitions.
"Lead foreign companies continue to be optimistic about the Chinese market and are actively embracing the opportunities brought by China's high-level opening up." said Kuang Xianming, deputy director of the China (Hainan) Institute of Reform and Development.
The reporter saw at the exhibition that exhibitors from all countries participating in the Consumer Expo were enthusiastic. As the guest of the exhibition, the UK has participated in the exhibition area of more than 1,300 square meters and 53 brands, about twice the previous one.
The British Minister of State for Commerce and Trade Douglas Alexander said at the opening ceremony of the UK National Pavilion that the UK-China bilateral exchanges have a long history, bilateral economic and trade cooperation has achieved strong growth in the past decade, and both commerce and investment are smoother and more active than in the past.
He said that he hopes that through this Consumer Expo, he will bring real benefits to British-funded enterprises in China, as well as Chinese investors and enterprises.

This Consumer Expo was held from April 13 to 18, with the theme of "Share open opportunities and create a better life together". The China International Consumer Products Expo is the only national exhibition in China with consumption as its theme.
