What work has the customs done to support the development of private enterprises?

Wang Lingjun, deputy director of the General Administration of Customs, responded that private enterprises are the largest foreign trade entity in my country. Only when private enterprises are vibrant can foreign trade have motivation. In the first quarter, the import and export of private enterprises increased by 5.8%, 4.5 percentage points faster than the overall import and export growth rate of the country, and the proportion increased to 56.8%. While the scale of foreign trade has achieved rapid growth, the quality of development is also constantly improving.

In the first quarter, private enterprises achieved growth in imports and exports to nearly 180 countries and regions around the world. In emerging markets, imports and exports to ASEAN, Africa and Latin America increased by 7.4%, 9.6% and 5.2% respectively; in traditional markets, imports and exports to the EU increased by 7.1% and 4.8% to Japan.

At the same time, private enterprises have become an important force in my country's scientific and technological innovation. From low-cost, high-IQ open source model of artificial intelligence to mechanical dancers on the Spring Festival Gala stage, private enterprises have shown an upward and innovative attitude. In the field of foreign trade, in the first quarter, private enterprises imported and exported high-tech products to the same period, with a scale of nearly 1 trillion yuan, maintaining the largest import and export main position. Among them, exported industrial robots increased by 67.4%, high-end machine tools increased by 16.4%, imported high-end equipment increased by 25.6%, and surgical robots increased by 47.5%.

Customs resolutely implement the "two unshakable", deepen reforms, innovate regulatory systems, and actively help private enterprises stabilize expectations, seize orders, and expand markets. Taking the AEO certification, commonly known as the "Green Pass" of Global Trade as an example, Customs continues to increase its efforts to cultivate private enterprises in key areas, so that more enterprises can clear their customs clearance speed "one step faster" and trade costs "better". In the first quarter alone, 116 private enterprises that have obtained customs AEO certification increased, reaching 2,670. In the first quarter, the export and import of private enterprises that have obtained AEO certification increased by 8.6% and 8.5% respectively, 1.6 and 5 percentage points higher than the overall export and import growth rate of private enterprises, respectively.
