On April 9, the reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of Yuanmou County Party Committee of Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan that recently, the world-renowned journal "PeerJ" published online the latest research results of scientific researchers from many units such as the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthromum of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture Museum: "A New Mesogenus Spinosaur Dinosaur in Yunnan, China", named a new species of dinosaur - Jinsha Jiang Yuanmou Thunder Dragon.

In 2006, researchers from Chuxiong Prefecture Museum discovered a specimen of Yuanmou Thieves Dragon in Jiangyi, Yuanmou. The fossil was unearthed in the Zhanghe Formation strata of the Central Jurassic Zhanghe Formation, including an almost complete skull mandible and 11 joint anterior spine, containing 10 cervical vertebrae and the first dorsal vertebrae.
Based on the relatively complete skull, complete cervical vertebra and the front dorsal vertebra, the researchers established a new species of the midsonic dinosaur, namely the Jinsha Jiang Yuanmou Thunder Dragon.
Compared with other mid-spinus dinosaurs, most of the mid-spinus dinosaurs lived in the Late Jurassic period, the Jinshajiang Yuanmou Thied Dragon lived in the Middle Jurassic period, which owned the most complete skull of the mid-Jurassic allozoosaurus in my country. System analysis shows that it is the most primitive member of the Mesosprhinosaur family and is a more ferocious carnivorous dinosaur. This system analysis also restored the system position of the Pianizkironaceae, which is a sister group of the theors, and is no longer a member of the dragon.
The Yuanmou Jiangyi dinosaurs have abundant fossil resources, including not only early Jurassic dinosaurs, but also mid-to-late Jurassic dinosaurs; there are both plant-eating dinosaurs and carnivorous dinosaurs. In addition to the Yuanmou thief dragon in Jinsha Jiangyi, Yuanmou Jiangyi also has the unique Jiangyi Yuanmou dragon, Shimamen Xilong, Yang's Yunnan dragon, and Taidong Yunlong. At the same time, there are the Xu Lufeng and Shuangbai, the common dinosaurs such as the giant Lufeng dragon, Jinshan dragon, etc.
