The reporter learned from the National International Development Cooperation Agency today that the second batch of earthquake relief supplies provided by the Chinese government to Myanmar will be planned to be shipped on the morning of April 3.

According to reports, the first batch of rescue materials assisted by the Chinese government have been distributed to the victims. The second batch of aid supplies are being organized quickly, including 800 tents, 2,000 blankets, 3,000 boxes of biscuits, 2,000 boxes of mineral water and other urgently needed materials. It is planned to be shipped to Myanmar with Air China Cargo charter flight at 9 a.m. on April 3.

In addition, the Chinese Red Cross has provided RMB 1.5 million in cash assistance, and Yunnan Province has provided RMB 6.1 million in disaster relief supplies.

In terms of emergency rescue, China immediately dispatched a rescue team. According to the principle of proximity, the Yunnan rescue medical team arrived in Myanmar 18 hours after the earthquake. Currently, nearly 30 Chinese rescue teams are rescued in Myanmar, with more than 500 rescue team members, making it the country with the largest number of teams and people. As of the morning of April 2, the Chinese rescue team has rescued a total of 8 survivors. Rescue is still in progress.

Spokesperson of the National Agency for International Development and Cooperation Li Ming: China is the first country to announce emergency assistance, the first country to send rescue teams, and the first country to rescue earthquake survivors. In the future, China will closely monitor the disaster situation, continue to actively carry out disaster relief assistance and participate in post-disaster reconstruction. China will send two expert groups for medical epidemic prevention and disaster loss assessment, shouldering the responsibility of treating the wounded on site, and carrying out disaster prevention and mitigation work based on Myanmar's on-site disaster situation and imparting experience to Myanmar.
