The National Health Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation announced 50 national food safety standards and 9 standard modification sheets on March 27. These standards are closely related to dairy products, meat products, infant formula foods for special medical purposes, infant auxiliary foods, food additives, disinfectants, etc. that are consumed by the public.
From promoting food digital label QR codes to prohibiting the use of "zero additions"; from more intuitive shelf life labels to more readable nutrition labels; from mandatory labeling of sensitizers to supporting a batch of inspection method standards... The standard aims to strengthen the management of food safety risks in the entire chain, and will further ensure consumers' food safety and nutritional health.
As of now, my country has issued a total of 1,660 national food safety standards, including more than 20,000 indicators, covering all more than 340 food categories.
