The flagship report predicts that Asia's economic growth rate will be 4.5% this year
Two authoritative reports were released at the first press conference, namely the "2025 Annual Report on the Asian Economic Prospects and Integration Process" and the "2025 Annual Report on Sustainable Development of Asia and the World".

A report focuses on the economy and predicts that Asia's economic growth rate this year will be 4.5%, slightly higher than the actual growth rate of 4.4% last year. At the same time, the report shows that as the economic growth rate rebounds and the inflation level continues to fall, the actual income level in Asia is expected to increase in 2025. Another report focused on sustainable development, with six discussions and activities on green and low-carbon topics during this year's annual meeting.

The report pointed out that Asian economies, especially China and ASEAN, continue to show strong resilience and vitality, and are at the forefront of the world in economic growth, trade in goods and services, and become an important force and cornerstone for stabilizing and supporting the world economy.

Alancha Gonzalez, former director of the Office of the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, said that today, the fastest growing in international trade is service trade. We see that China not only has a huge service industry market, but its innovation capabilities and international competitiveness in the service industry are also constantly improving, which will provide the world with more opportunities.

How to boost consumption has become a hot topic
At the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia, how to boost consumption is also one of the most concerned topics among Chinese and foreign guests.

Zhu Min, former vice president of the International Monetary Fund, said: "Everyone is particularly concerned about China's economy. How to make efforts in consumption next? The first is to ensure wage growth and GDP appreciation. Second, social security, including pensions, medical care, and insurance, must all rise. Third, continue to stimulate consumption on a large scale. I think the most positive thing about looking at China around the world is to think that if China consumes, China's economic transformation will be successful, which will have a great impact on the global economy."
