CCTV News: The reporter learned from Gongbei Customs that with the continuous release of the dividends of the "Australia car to the north" and "Hong Kong car to the north" policy dividends, as of now, the number of Hong Kong and Macao single-licensed vehicles registered by the customs has exceeded 150,000, and the explosion in the registration volume reflects the urgent demand for convenient travel in the Greater Bay Area by Hong Kong and Macao residents.

The "Australia car to the north" policy has been implemented in stages in January and July 2023, and has quickly triggered a "northward" craze among Hong Kong and Macao residents. According to relevant regulations, Hong Kong and Macao single-licensed vehicles must complete the filing procedures before they can enter Guangdong through the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. According to Gongbei Customs data, the highest monthly registration volume of single-licensed vehicles in Macau and Hong Kong reached 3,709 and 8,264 respectively, and the total number has reached 44,868 and 107,387 respectively.
