Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning presided over the regular press conference held today (March 18).

When answering questions about Australia's intervention in the rule of law in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mao Ning said that Hong Kong affairs are purely China's internal affairs and no external forces are allowed to intervene. China urges Australia to truly respect China's sovereignty and Hong Kong's rule of law, and create good conditions and atmosphere for the sustainable development of China-Australia relations. China expresses strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to Australia's open interference in the rule of law in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
