In the past year, my country has made new progress in defending clear water. The proportion of excellent water quality in the national controlled section of surface water in the country has reached 90.4%, exceeding 90% for the first time, which is of landmark significance. However, it is difficult to fundamentally eliminate black and odorous water bodies. Cyanobacteria blooms in some key lakes are still frequent, and the coordinated governance of the three waters of "water resources, water environment and water ecology" is still in its infancy.

Special actions will be carried out in 2025 to severely investigate and punish environmental violations such as sewage overflow and direct discharge. At the same time, AI technology, drone remote sensing monitoring and other means are used to promptly discover problems in sewage outlet inspection and rectification, and ensure that the inspection and rectification of sewage outlets of key rivers and key lakes are fully completed by the end of 2025.
