CCTV News: The reporter learned from the National Food and Material Reserves Bureau today (March 7) that the purchase of autumn grain in the new season is progressing in an orderly manner, and market purchases and sales are active. As of now, the cumulative purchase volume of autumn grain in the country has exceeded 300 million tons, equivalent to 60% of the output.
At present, the national corn and soybean peak season acquisitions have entered the final stage, with purchases exceeding 190 million tons and 10 million tons respectively, both of which are relatively high in recent years. The peak season acquisition of mid-to-late rice ended at the end of February, with a total of 105 million tons acquired, with a total market price stable overall and obvious characteristics of high-quality and high-price.
Luo Shouquan, Director of the Grain Reserve Department of the National Grain and Material Reserve Bureau, said that in order to protect the interests of grain-growing farmers, relevant state departments have launched the minimum purchase price purchase of medium and late rice in major grain-producing provinces such as Heilongjiang to meet the needs of farmers to sell grain to the maximum extent. The cumulative purchase price of rice is 7.11 million tons, accounting for 7% of the total purchase volume of rice.
Luo Shouquan introduced that the current national corn market is booming in purchases and sales, and the soybean meal and soybean oil markets are showing a recovery trend. The profit of soybean crushing is improving. Recently, the profit of crushing 1 ton of soybeans can reach 150 yuan to 180 yuan. The enthusiasm of enterprises to enter the market has increased significantly, and the domestic soybean market continues to improve.
Luo Shouquan also said that the current market prices of corn and soybeans have increased by 100-200 yuan per ton compared with December last year, reflecting the positive attitude of various entities toward the future market.
