The first two months of this year: my country's total import and export of goods was 6.54 trillion yuan

The General Administration of Customs announced on March 7 that according to customs statistics, my country's total import and export of goods was 6.54 trillion yuan in the first two months of this year. Among them, exports were 3.88 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.4%; imports were 2.66 trillion yuan, a decrease of 7.3%. In the first two months, my country's export scale was the highest in the same period in history. Among them, exports to ASEAN, the EU, the United States and Japan increased by 6.8%, 1.8%, 3.4%, and 2%, respectively, and exports to countries with jointly building the "Belt and Road" increased by 2.4%.

Lu Daliang, Director of the Statistical Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, said: "In the first two months, all localities and departments actively responded to the adverse impact of the external environment, and my country's foreign trade operation was generally stable. Compared with last year, the first two months of this year were less than two working days. Excluding the influence of incomparable factors, imports and exports increased by 1.7%, fully reflecting the resilience of my country's foreign trade development." At the end of February, my country's foreign exchange reserves were US$322.72 billion

The latest data from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange shows that as of the end of February, my country's foreign exchange reserves were US$322.72 billion, an increase of US$18.2 billion from the end of January, an increase of 0.57%, and the scale of foreign exchange reserves remained basically stable.

March: China's retail industry prosperity index expands, and consumption vitality steadily increases

The latest data released by the China Federation of Commerce showed that in March, China's retail industry prosperity index was 50.2%, up 0.1 percentage points year-on-year and month-on-month, maintaining its expansion range. Among them, the leasing and operation index was 51.4%, up 0.3 percentage points month-on-month, the development confidence of leasing and operation enterprises stabilized, and the store occupancy rate increased significantly; the e-commerce business index rose 0.8 percentage points month-on-month. Experts said that in March, the retail industry entered the peak period for new products to be launched in spring, and the retail scenarios of new stores, new products and diversified and personalized services gradually increased. Driven by favorable policies such as "old for new", the vitality of the consumer market has rebounded significantly.

February: China's highway logistics freight index rose by 2.21% year-on-year

In February, China's highway logistics freight index was 104.8 points, up 2.21% from the same period last year. The index of all vehicle models has maintained growth compared with the same period last year, among which the vehicle index, mainly commodities and regional transportation, rose by 2.55% compared with last year. As the progress of resumption of work and production after the holiday has steadily advanced, the supply of transportation capacity has recovered rapidly, and China's highway logistics freight index has remained at a good level.
