CCTV News: Nanyin is one of the oldest music species in my country. It has a history of thousands of years and is known as the "living fossil of music". On February 27, we went to experience the artistic charm of Nanyin's simple and elegant, gentle and delicate.
When night falls, a cross-border fusion performance of Nanyin and jazz music was performed wonderfully at Xiamen International Cruise Home Port, showing the beauty of the fusion of Chinese and Western music.
Nanyin is also called string tubes, southern music, etc. It combines singing and playing. In the performance, the singer holds the clapper in the middle, the pipa and three string players are on the right, and the Dongxiao and two string players are on the left, bringing the audience into the song with the leisurely ancient Quanzhou dialect, unique melody and melodious singing style. In 2009, Nanyin was included in the UNESCO List of Representative Works of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The head of Quanzhou South Music Troupe of Fujian Province, Zhuang Lifen, said: "We now have more than 3,000 ancient music scores, presented in the form of a cappella, duet, pipa singing, etc. The Nanyin score mainly describes the scenery of the four seasons, flowers, birds, insects, horse galloping and other scenes."
The instruments of Nanyin are divided into upper four tubes and lower four tubes. The upper four wind instruments are called silk and bamboo instruments, and the lower four wind instruments are called percussion instruments. During the performance, the pipa is more prominent, and the musician plays the pipa horizontally, which is different from the vertical playing method that is common in normal times. In recent years, Nanyin's artistic workers have been constantly exploring and trying from innovation in the content of the song to the stage presentation of integrated technological elements. As early as 1989, Quanzhou, Fujian began to promote Nanyin to enter primary and secondary school classrooms. Nanyin sowed the seeds in the hearts of young people in the form of interest groups, school art troupes, and professional courses.
Ding Conghui, director of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, said: "In the past 36 years, more than 200,000 students in more than 200 primary and secondary schools have been influenced by Nanyin."
Now, through the implementation of the Nanyin recording project, comprehensive and systematic recording of ancient songs, and diversified scientific and technological means, the Nanyin song can achieve "panoramic presentation" and "sharing of the whole people", opening the path of inheritance of creative transformation and innovative development.
