CCTV News: The reporter learned from Xiamen Customs that since the launch of the BRICS dedicated line on February 10, 2023, Xiamen Customs has supervised a total of 474 round-trip flights of the BRICS dedicated line, with 33,200 tons of imported and exported cargo, and the dedicated line has carried a total of 31.36 million cross-border e-commerce parcels.
As my country's first cross-border e-commerce air transport dedicated line for BRICS cities, the route is operated by Ethiopian Airlines, and the aircraft is a Boeing 777F cargo plane, which operates 3 flights per week. The dedicated line exports are mainly equipped with domestic cross-border e-commerce products such as shoes and clothing, daily necessities, and the export load rate reaches 100%. In terms of imports, this route mainly features high-quality salmon and fresh fruits, with an import value of up to US$106 million, ranking first in the import volume of Xiamen Airport.
The airport customs affiliated to Xiamen Customs opens a green channel for entry fruits and conducts systematic and intelligent review of certificates involved in some fresh food imported from the dedicated line. Through the smart certificate review module, the accompanying documents are collected and reviewed immediately, and the goods are encouraged to declare customs in advance, and a dedicated inspection site for imported fruits is opened for dedicated lines. Convenient customs clearance measures such as "two-stage access" and "conditional withdrawal" are adopted. The inspection time for imported fresh food on dedicated lines is controlled within 30 minutes. It is understood that in the past two years, a total of 11,400 tons of fresh products have been imported through the BRICS dedicated line.
According to Liu Wenjuan, head of the Customs Inspection Section of Xiamen Airport, the customs also closely monitors invasive species and domestic and foreign epidemic trends, and configures plant quarantine experts to strictly implement fruit pest and disease quarantine, increase attention to pesticide residues, heavy metal residues and other projects, and creates a "airport acceleration" for imported fresh food on a dedicated line to ensure safe and efficient customs clearance of related products.
