On November 30, the first unit of my country’s largest gas-fired power plant with single-unit capacity, Unit 1 of the National Energy Group Zhejiang Anji Power Plant, was officially put into operation.

The project uses a gas turbine with the largest unit capacity and the highest efficiency in China. The unit efficiency is as high as 64.15%. Compared with conventional one-million-kilowatt coal-fired units, the efficiency is increased by about 17 percentage points. The No. 1 unit put into operation this time has the characteristics of low carbon, high efficiency, fast start and stop, and strong load change capability. It can accurately respond to peak and valley changes in power consumption, effectively ensure the stable operation of the power grid, achieve efficient complementarity with renewable energy, and contribute to the East China Power Grid's peak winter.

On November 27, at the Asian General Aviation Show, my country displayed oil-free aircraft engine for the first time. This megawatt-class hybrid power system has the high power density of pure electricity and inherits the reliability of aeroengines, making it more efficient than traditional power.

According to reports, a megawatt hydrogen fuel turbine engine will produce 3 kilograms of carbon dioxide when burning 1 kilogram of aviation fuel. Using hydrogen fuel as the power for turbine engines has zero carbon emissions.
