The forum believes that since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it has focused on boosting confidence and improving expectations, responding to concerns and gathering strength, guiding social emotions and resolving social contradictions, telling China's stories well and displaying China's image, and the positioning of the news release function is more accurate, and the role has been played more remarkable, which has effectively served the overall work of the Party and the country.

The forum emphasized that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China listed "improving the press spokesperson system" as an important reform task. Serving the overall situation of Chinese-style modernization and making the press spokesperson system more adapted to the new development situation, the new characteristics of communication and the new expectations of the people is not only a major reform task that must be completed, but also an important opportunity to promote the high-quality development of news releases.

The forum proposed that in order to improve the political stance of press release work, political requirements must be integrated into the entire process and all links of the release. We must innovate top-level design, strengthen rigid constraints, and allow the press spokesperson system to organically integrate into the modernization process of the national governance system. We must be good at standing from the perspective of the masses and using the language of the masses, so that the Party’s policies and policies can fly into the homes of ordinary people. We must understand the social situation and public opinion, be familiar with work and business, improve media literacy, and show the style of a spokesperson in the new era. We must pay attention to overall coordination, form a joint force for release, and build a comprehensive, three-dimensional and multi-level voice matrix.
