This year's "Government Work Report" lists "increasing efforts to ensure and improve people's livelihood and improve social governance efficiency" as one of the government's work tasks in 2025. It proposes to "strengthen the orientation of macro-policy people's livelihood", "greater efforts to stabilize and expand employment", "strengthening basic medical and health services", "improving social security and service policies", etc., and make detailed arrangements for a number of key tasks in the field of people's livelihood.

Preferring to people's livelihood first is the driving force for stimulating innovation vitality. People's livelihood issues are not only to meet people's basic survival needs, but also to promote people's comprehensive and free development. People's livelihood is the "compass" for economic and social development. New economic growth points are often hidden in the effective supply of people's livelihood security services. The growth of the people's demand for housing, elderly care, education, medical care, travel and other services will prompt relevant industries to seek innovation and change and develop rapidly. The high-quality satisfaction of people's livelihood security services can also increase people's expectations for future life, stimulate consumption potential in many fields such as culture, sports, leisure, and entertainment, and promote the richer and more effective supply of consumer products and services, thereby achieving a virtuous cycle of economic and social development. For example, in Zhejiang, innovative achievements of "technology + elderly care" are constantly emerging, continuously releasing the development potential of silver economy. In some elderly care institutions and communities, intelligent elderly care robots have become a right-hand assistant in the lives of the elderly. Behind the strong consumption potential and growing consumption demand is the support of the industrial cluster effect. In Pinghu, Jiaxing, the smart wearable equipment industry cluster base has gathered many smart wearable equipment research and development and production enterprises, and its products cover multiple categories such as smart bracelets, smart watches, smart health monitoring patches, etc., and the professional, characteristic and large-scale development contains infinite vitality.

Preferring to people's livelihood first is the first move to promote common prosperity. Improving people's livelihood and gradually achieving common prosperity for all people is the essential requirement of socialism. Low-income groups are the key assistance and protection groups to promote common prosperity. Promoting more low-income groups to enter the middle-income ranks is a key link in building an olive-shaped social form with a large middle and small ends at both ends. Strengthening people's livelihood security services and providing more protective protection for this group will effectively improve their development capabilities and social opportunities. The universal livelihood security service method allows the achievements of reform and opening up to be shared by more people. For example, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, closely follows the "balanced and accessible sharing of basic public services", promotes the rational flow and allocation of public resource elements such as funds, preparation, and land within the city, and takes multiple measures to promote the integration, merger, and upgrade of public services in key areas such as education, medical care, and elderly care, and initially embarks on a new path of "promoting the high-quality sharing of basic public services through intensive and efficient use of administrative resources."

People's livelihood is the glue that strengthens the relationship between the Party and the masses. Strengthening the relationship between the Party and the masses, cadres and the masses, and maintaining flesh-and-blood ties with the people is an important magic weapon for the Communist Party of China to be invincible. On the new journey, facing more arduous and heavy reform and development tasks, we must follow the Party’s mass line in the new era. We will closely focus on the people's "urgent, difficult and anxious" to find the focus and breakthrough points of reform, so that more "people's voices" can be turned into "people's livelihood" and gather more people's hearts and strength. In the process of strengthening people's livelihood security services, party committees and governments at all levels should actively broaden the channels and platforms for participation, so that more people can participate, and jointly explore good ways to govern socially. For example, Hangzhou City has launched the "Hangzhou Brother Code" that integrates identity verification, travel management, community access and other functions. Through the "display code and deliver orders", it has solved the problem of "last 100 meters" of takeaway delivery. In addition, takeaway riders can also participate in "stop reporting" of safety hazards and "stop publicity" of civilized fashion volunteer service activities to convey positive energy in society.

Everything is endless, people's livelihood is the greatest. Adhere to the people-centered approach, respond to the needs and concerns of the masses in a timely and effective manner, and do more practical things in strengthening basic, universal and basic livelihood construction and solving the urgent, difficult and anxious problems of the masses, and doing practical things in people's livelihood with heart and emotion will surely gather the tremendous power hidden among the people and help achieve Chinese-style modernization.
