On the evening of April 15th local time, President Xi Jinping arrived in Kuala Lumpur by special plane and paid a state visit to Malaysia at the invitation of Malaysia's Supreme Head of State Ibrahim.

When the special plane arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, Foreign Minister Mohamed accompanied the Minister and Minister of Transportation Lok Choi-fu and other senior officials to welcome him warmly. Malaysian children present flowers to Xi Jinping, Malaysian teenagers perform dances with local characteristics, wave the national flags of China and Malaysia, and warmly welcome Xi Jinping's visit.

Xi Jinping delivered a written speech, extending sincere greetings and good wishes to the Malaysian government and the Malaysian people on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people.

Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Malaysia are friendly neighbors across the sea, and traditional friendship lasts for thousands of years. For more than half a century of diplomatic relations, the two countries have insisted on mutual respect, equal treatment, and win-win cooperation, setting an example of relations between countries. In 2023, the two sides reached an important consensus on jointly building a community with a shared future between China and Malaysia, and last year the two countries solemnly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. As important developing countries and members of the global South, China and Malaysia deepen high-level strategic cooperation is in line with the common interests of the two countries and is conducive to regional and even world peace, stability and prosperity. I look forward to taking this visit as an opportunity to further deepen the traditional friendship between the two countries, enhance political mutual trust between the two sides, promote modernization cooperation, jointly promote exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, promote the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Malaysia to continuously reach a new level, and start a new "golden 50 years" in China-Malaysia relations.

Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing also went to the airport to greet him.

As Xi Jinping took a bus from the airport to his hotel, local Chinese-funded enterprises and international students waved the national flags of China and Malaysia on both sides of the road, holding high red banners such as "Warm welcome President Xi Jinping to visit Malaysia" and "Long live China-Malaysia friendship". Overseas Chinese performed festive and enthusiastic lion dances to welcome Xi Jinping to the visit.
