Every meal is related to safety of the tongue; one old and one young, happiness day and night... The people's well-being and people's livelihood have always been the concern of General Secretary Xi Jinping. One by one, the “small things” related to the people’s happiness index have gradually risen into a major plan for people’s livelihood.

The people must think of what they worry about, and what they hope for. More than 70% of the national fiscal expenditure is used in the field of people's livelihood, demonstrating the country's high attention to people's livelihood. With the courage to take responsibility, we are determined to promote reform, tackle many hard bones, and have introduced many reform measures closely related to the interests of the people. All regions and departments insist on ensuring and improving people's livelihood in development, doing their best and doing what they can, improving the basic public service system, strengthening the construction of universal, basic and bottom-line people's livelihood, solving the most direct and realistic interests that the people care about most, and constantly meeting the people's yearning for a better life. Reform measures and "people's livelihood lists" make people's livelihood no longer an abstract concept, but a feeling of a better life that can be touched and experienced.

Develop forward and life is upward. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the report card of the people has warmed people's hearts, embodies the people-centered development philosophy, and vividly interprets "Let the people live a happy life be the top priority" - win the battle against poverty in an all-round way and solve the problem of absolute poverty historically; build the world's largest education system, social security system, and medical and health system, and the quality of people's life has been continuously improved; reforms in the field of people's livelihood continue to deepen, public services are constantly improved, and measures such as "handle complaints immediately" and "go to the first time at most" are convenient and beneficial to the people; fight the battle against pollution prevention and control, so that green waters and green mountains can bring the most universal people's livelihood welfare...

There is no end to guarantee and improve people's livelihood, only a continuous new starting point. In the new year, various regions and departments have intensively released "people's livelihood gift packages", and a series of measures to benefit the people are heartwarming and motivating. Take more measures to form a joint force to promote employment; introduce a series of policies and measures to further consolidate the elderly care service system; focus on "patients have medical treatment" and "medicals have protection", and reform measures to ensure people's health are steadily promoted... Plan new policies and take practical measures to respond to the needs and concerns of the people in a timely and effective manner, do practical things in people's livelihood with heart and emotion, continuously improve people's living standards, and make the results of modernization construction benefit all people more and more equitably.

The spring is getting stronger and the people's livelihood is getting warmer. At the time of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, more than 5,000 representatives and deputies gathered together with the people's trust and expectations to discuss the country's affairs. People's "small concerns" in life and the "big picture" of national development are rushing in both directions.
