At around 11:50 on February 8, a landslide occurred in Jinping Village, Muai Town, Yunlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. As of 17:00 on the 8th, 10 houses had been buried and more than 30 people had been lost.

After the disaster, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping attached great importance to it and made important instructions, pointing out that a landslide occurred in Yunlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan, causing many people to lose contact. We must do everything possible to search and rescue the missing persons, minimize casualties, and properly do a good job in the aftermath.
