Which areas have more travel changes?
After adjusting the map, Beijing South Railway Station started the first train to Suzhou South Railway Station, Shengze Station, and Huzhou Nanxun Railway Station. At the same time, the 350km/h train is launched to start at 19:00 every day, and a 350km/h benchmark train is launched every 4 minutes, which are heading to Shanghai Hongqiao, Hangzhou East, Nanjing South, Hefei South and other directions.
Li Dandan, duty station manager of Qinghe Station of the Beijing Railway Bureau of the National Railway: Relying on the opening of Jidayuan High-speed Railway and the first quarter adjustment map, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway has been extended from the previous areas of Zhangjiakou, Taizicheng, Yanqing, Datong, Taiyuan, Hohhot, Baotou and other areas, and has extended to major western cities such as Xi'an, Lanzhou, Houma, Yuncheng, and Chengdu.
The number of cross-border trains has increased significantly, and the daily cross-border EMU trains of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway has increased to 242. For the first time, the EMU trains started and ended in Xi'an North, Wuhan, Jieyang to West Kowloon Stations from Xi'an to West Kowloon Stations. The round trip time of high-speed rail movable and sleeper trains from Beijing West to Hong Kong West Kowloon is reduced by 33 minutes and 59 minutes respectively.
The operation time of the North Carriage moving south is greatly compressed. For the first time, 20 high-speed trains were launched in Hohhot, Baotou and other places to Hangzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu and other cities. Among them, the fastest between Hohhot and Chengdu was 10 hours and 43 minutes, which was about 13 hours shorter than before.

Why should we implement a new train operation map?

The first is to release transportation capacity. The basis of the adjustment of the map is the continuous growth of railway operating mileage. In 2024, the national railway completed fixed asset investment of 850.6 billion yuan and put into production of 3,113 kilometers of new lines, providing capacity support for the implementation of the new map. For example, the opening of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway has weaved a dense Yangtze River Delta Road Network, allowing the high-speed railway trains on the Beijing-Shanghai Line to extend the operating range, allowing more cities to connect through railways.
The second is to meet the needs. In recent years, my country's railway passenger flow has continued to grow. In 2024, the annual passenger flow exceeded 4 billion for the first time, setting a record high. According to forecasts, in 2025, the annual passenger flow of railways is expected to increase by 200 million, exceeding 4.2 billion. The strong demand is also one of the main reasons for railway map adjustment.
