CCTV News: According to the official account of the Supreme People's Court, on May 16, 2025, the Heze Intermediate People's Court of Shandong Province publicly pronounced the first instance ruling of Wang Yixin, former member of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and former deputy secretary of the Party Group and vice governor of the Provincial Government, sentenced the defendant Wang Yixin to life imprisonment for the crime of accepting bribes, deprived of political rights for life, and confiscated all personal property; the property and interest of Wang Yixin who was recovered in the case were handed over to the state treasury in accordance with the law, and the insufficient part will continue to be recovered.

After trial, it was found that from July 2008 to October 2020, the defendant Wang Yixin used his position as deputy secretary, director and secretary of the Party Committee of Hainan Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Bureau, deputy secretary and general manager of the Party Committee of Hainan Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Corporation, secretary and chairman of the Party Committee of Hainan Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Group Co., Ltd., member of the Party Group and vice governor of the Shanxi Provincial Government, etc., to provide assistance to relevant units and individuals in business contracting, land development, and promotion of positions. Illegal acceptance of property totaled more than RMB 129 million.

Heze Intermediate People's Court held that the defendant Wang Yixin's behavior constituted the crime of accepting bribes. Wang Yixin's bribes received were particularly huge and caused particularly serious losses to the interests of the country and the people, and should be punished in accordance with the law. Given that he has made great achievements in his meritorious service, he truthfully confessed his crimes after being arrested, took the initiative to confess most of the facts of accepting bribes that the case handler has not yet grasped, pleaded guilty and repented, and actively returned the stolen money and property involved in the case. Most of the stolen money and property involved in the case have been recovered, and he can be given a lighter punishment according to law. The court then made the above judgment.
