CCTV News: In Linxia Prefecture, Gansu, about 200,000 freshly cut roses are sold all over the country every day and exported to all parts of the world, adding fragrance and romance to spring.

At 7 o'clock in the morning, when the reporter walked into Linxia Baiyi Yinong International Flower Port, the strong fragrance of flowers came to his nose. In the blooming flowers, dozens of workers were busy cutting roses.

The cut roses are transported to this cold storage of nearly 2,000 square meters. They must be pre-cooled in a vacuum of about 2 degrees Celsius for 4-6 hours.

After carefully classified by the size of the flower head, the thickness of the branch stem, and the depth of the flower color, these fresh roses were sent to all parts of the country on the same day.

Unlike ordinary soil-planted roses, the reporter saw that in the 200,000 square meters planted area, rows of roses are all planted in mixed materials used to replace soil. They are like small warehouses that store the nutrients needed for roses. The sensors suspended in the greenhouse will collect information such as light, humidity and other information in the surrounding environment. The backend workshop will proportion water and fertilizer based on big data to achieve automatic drip irrigation.

Through scientific planting, the roses in Linxia Flower Port are always blooming throughout the year, and some unique varieties have been planted, with an annual output of 70 million high-quality fresh cut flowers. In order to connect with customers, Huagang also opened a live broadcast room, and farmers also transformed into anchors.

At present, the local area has formed a full industrial chain of "flower economy" for planting, picking, transportation and sales, driving employment of more than 4,000 people, with an annual output value of nearly 200 million yuan.
