It is a prospective and independent project for new brain-computer interface technologies, which will help promote the application of brain-computer interface technologies to clinical practice as soon as possible and benefit the majority of patients.

It is reported that brain-computer interface technology is mainly divided into non-invasive and invasive. In response to the situation where non-invasive brain-computer interfaces require continuous debugging of equipment, the project guide has added a price item of "non-invasive brain-computer interface adaptation fee"; for invasive brain-computer interfaces, the project guide has specially set up price items such as "invasive brain-computer interface insertion fee" and "invasive brain-computer interface withdrawal fee".

The National Health Insurance Administration stated that this means that once the brain-computer interface technology is mature and the charging path for quickly entering clinical applications has been paved, and after local governments dock and implement project approval guidelines, there will be regulations for the medical charges for brain-computer interfaces.

In addition, the project approval guide also sets "regular" and "complex" projects for treatments with high technical value and high risk. If the expert consensus determines that it is a complex situation, the "complex" project fee can be directly included.
