Recently, the Central Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the "Key Points of Work for Digital Greening and Collaborative Transformation and Development in 2025" (hereinafter referred to as the "Key Points of Work"). The "Key Points of Work" requires that we should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, especially Xi Jinping's Ecological Civilization Thought and General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Thought on Strengthening the Country in the Internet, fully and accurately implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, fully and accurately implement the new development concept, focus on the key links of economic transformation and upgrading and achieving high-quality development, improve the working mechanism of digital green collaborative transformation and development, promote the improvement of energy efficiency in emerging fields, actively use digital technology and green technology to transform and upgrade traditional industries, give full play to the driving role of green transformation in the digital industry, and provide solid support for accelerating the construction of a strong cyber country and a beautiful China.

The Key Points of Work deployed 22 key tasks in four aspects. First, promote the green and low-carbon development of the digital industry. Including promoting the green transformation of data centers, promoting the green operation of base stations, promoting the green manufacturing and use of electronic information products, and guiding the zero-carbon development of leading digital technology enterprises. The second is to accelerate the empowerment of green transformation of digital technology. It includes promoting digital technology to empower green transformation in eight fields including electricity, mining, metallurgy, petrochemical, transportation and logistics, construction, urban operation, and modern agriculture, as well as promoting digital technology to empower ecological environment governance and creating a pilot demonstration of digital green collaborative transformation and development. The third is to give full play to the driving role of green transformation in the digital industry. Including upgrading digital green infrastructure, accelerating the integration and innovation of digital greening, building a digital greening industrial system, and cultivating digital greening compound talents. Fourth, strengthen overall coordination and overall promotion. Including strengthening organizational leadership, improving laws and regulations, deepening international cooperation, and strengthening publicity and guidance.
