The reporter learned from the Hainan Provincial Meteorological Department that the rainfall in Haikou has weakened, and the Haikou Meteorological Observatory lifted the red warning signal for heavy rain in Haikou at 12:02 on March 29, 2025.
Affected by the rainfall, 11 roads accumulated in Haikou City on the morning of the 29th, with the deepest reaching 30 cm. The staff of the Haikou City drainage department made every effort to drain the accumulated water, and the traffic police department urgently guided congested vehicles at the accumulated water. As of 12:30, there was no water accumulation in the municipal roads in the central urban area of Haikou. The rainfall caused road buses in some areas of Haikou City to be unable to pass normally. As of 12:30, the Haikou bus department suspended a total of 6 bus routes and 7 bus routes. After the road conditions are restored, the line will automatically resume the original line operation.
